GROWSAFE® INTRODUCTORY CERTIFICATE ~
The Introductory course provides essential information and instruction on the safe, responsible and effective use of agrichemicals. It is a requirement of most Regional Councils.

It will assist you in achieving your HSNO Approved Handler Test certificate.

Course Content:

  • Course structured around NZS8409:2004
  • Comprehensive training manual supplied with the course Approved Handler information*
  • Interpreting agrichemical and animal remedy labels
  • Identifying spray hazards
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Applying agrichemicals safely and accurately
  • Procedures for calibrating spray equipment
  • Avoiding spray drift and target application
  • Legislation applicable to spray application
  • Open book assessment

Certificate valid for 5 years

*Approved handler test certificates issued on successful completion of this course and if required a Location Test certificate.
