NATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN AERIAL APPLICATION ~ Initial Agrichemical Rating run in conjunction with Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT)

This course is a personal qualification with the theory section done as group training in Blenheim followed by a site visit. Click Here to view the Course Procedures in detail.

On completion of this course you will receive your GROWSAFE® Agrichemical Rating Certificate which will give you a wide range of work opportunities in the aerial application of agrichemicals.

Most tenders require this certificate and many Regional Councils throughout New Zealand also require this certificate for any person who is spraying for hire or reward.

Course Content:
The course is spread over 35 weeks and includes the following:

  • An extensive training pack is supplied to you once you have registered for the course. This pack provides all the technical data that is required to complete the training course including a Study Guide manual
  • The course is spread over 2 days at the training complex in Blenheim
  • Agrichemical checklist. This is a system where you check and identify where you are at in regards to agrichemical application.
  • Full understanding of the acts that relate to agrichemical application.
  • Updated HSNO Compliance Plan
  • Updated Agrichemical Safety and Management policy
  • Updated Approved Handler Test Certificate if required
  • Site visit to your place of work by the trainer to train and assist you with this course
  • Certificate valid for 5 years.

Once completed, this will assist you if you wish to get your workplace GROWSAFE® accredited.
