APPLICATION ~ is run in conjunction with Ag Challenge and
Taratahi
This is a personal one on one training course.
Completion of this course gives you the GROWSAFE®
Registered Chemical Applicator Certificate
which allows for a wide range of work opportunities in the
application of agrichemicals.
Most tenders for work in road spraying,
Parks and Reserves, DOC,
local bodies and Regional councils throughout
New Zealand require this certificate for any person who is
spraying for hire or reward.
Course Content:
The course is spread over 35 weeks and includes
the following:
- An extensive training pack is supplied
which includes all the technical information that is required
to complete the training and assessment
- Self study assessment where you
are required to complete the various sections in the strands
that you have chosen to be trained in.
- Site visits to your place of work
by the trainer to train and assist you with the course requirements.
- Evidence of at least 200 hours spraying
(spray diaries/logs)
- Full understanding of all the Facts
relating to agrichemical application
- Updated HSNO
Compliance Plan
- Updated Agrichemical Safety
and Management policy
- Property Spray Plans
- Certificate valid for an
initial 5 years.
The certificate will assist you if
you wish to get your workplace GROWSAFE®
accredited.
